This is a Vintage Cartier Santos watch, one of the most iconic timepieces from Cartier and this one is from the 1980’s. The square-shaped case measures 33mm by 41mm and is stainless steel with 18k yellow gold bezel, secured by visible screws (a signature Cartier design). The bracelet design is not exactly the one we are familiar with when we’re talking about the Santos: it has a stainless steel, tapered bracelet with golden center links instead of screws. Cartier refers to this as the Godron bracelet, it makes the watch a lot more special than the regular Santos. The dial is white with black Roman numerals and a date aperture at the 3-hour position. Between the watch’s crown guards we’ll find the exquisite blue sapphire crown that definitely completes this iconic automatic winding Cartier masterpiece.
